In addition, BPL coordinators have taken primary responsibility for recruiting all participating students and tutors, for matchmaking the right tutor with the right student, and for scheduling all tutoring sessions. Staff librarians at specific branches of the BPL are also playing a critical role by setting aside adequate computer space and for helping to supervise participating students. |

The Boston Public Library Foundation and Friends: The BPL Online Tutoring Program is a not-for-profit program that delivers free tutoring to the students of Boston. As such, the fundraising arm of the Boston Public Library, The Boston Public Library Foundation, is responsible for securing donations from corporate sponsors in order to cover the costs of administering this program. Real Time Learning is a strategic consulting and development company that specializes in the design and production of innovative Web-based “distance learning” and "community-building" applications. The company consists of a select team of educational software veterans, including top-tier designers, technologists, business development executives and educators.
