The Bed & Breakfast at the 1890 Brakey House, formerly known as the La Mer Bed & Breakfast, in downtown Ventura, California (part of the tri-counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, 25 minutes south of downtown Santa Barbara) is a Victorian Cottage House built in 1890 and beautifully restored into a charming Victorian bungalow-style guesthouse with all the modern amenities including three rooms with jacuzzi tubs!
   

All rooms have private exterior entrances and private attached baths. The property also features a Prodigy HOT TUB by Hot Springs.

First designed as a home for lodgers in 1924, by Mrs. Brakey, this seven-unit property is now an charming bed and breakfast, fully refurnished with new, luxury pillow top, king and queen-sized beds, televisions and DVD players, and a full complement of bathroom amenities.

The breakfast is served in a traditional European style with a full spread of sumptuous delights for the hungry traveler, including freshly brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, home made quiche, casserole, struedel, rolls, meats, cheeses and fresh fruit. This breakfast parlor setting overlooks the great Pacific Ocean.
